The necessary windows are distributed as follows:

V1: Windows/doors for the bedroom/study (2)
V2: Windows for the bedrooms/study (5)
V3: Kitchen window (1)
V4: Bathroom windows (2)
V5: Windows for the service area (2)
V6: Living room/dining room windows (6)

These windows are placed on the exterior walls as shown in the diagram:

A review of Ventekom's operations is reminiscent of an ISO 9001 project by the window manufacturing company Alucasa. Although they are not certified, they demonstrate a similar level of organization.

Properties of windows

The chosen manufacturer is Ventekom, which operates in a style similar to Alucasa, a company we helped certify for ISO 9001 many years ago.

The door/window models, the movable parts of the bedroom and service area windows, are tilt-and-turn, meaning they can tilt or open:

The bedroom and study windows also have a fixed panel:

To avoid obstruction and facilitate use, the kitchen windows are sliding:

It is important to note that, although these are less airtight, they are located in a more sheltered area, which should prevent water infiltration.

The bathroom windows are projecting:

While the panoramic windows in the living and dining rooms do not allow opening:

It is important to keep in mind that:

It is important to remember that windows exposed to strong winds cannot be sliding as they do not provide sufficient airtightness and there is a risk of water infiltration. Refer to the analysis of airtightness requirements.

Ventekom Operation

Description

To gain an intuitive understanding of the quality of Ventekom's windows, a visit was made to their plant located on the same Isla Teja where we live.

The plant exhibits organized work in dedicated sectors:

Processes are carried out systematically...

with well-defined workstations:

The work instructions and/or specifications are somewhat artisanal, but they should serve their purpose of reducing the error rate due to confusion:

The final product looks good, although there is no adequate space for storing the product once it is finished before installation:

The atmosphere is cheerful, as demonstrated by Daniela Palma, the sales manager and wife of the general manager and owner:
