Wood stoves or fireplaces
Storyboard
Wood stoves or fireplaces use the combustion of firewood as a heat source to provide heating in a space. These heating systems are very popular in rural areas or in homes where firewood is readily available and affordable. The firewood is burned in the stove or fireplace, generating heat that radiates into the surrounding area. Although wood stoves can be effective for heating a specific room or area, they are not typically centralized heating systems for an entire house or building.
