Artificial lighting
Storyboard
To ensure optimal lighting during cloudy nights or days, an effective lighting system must be implemented. In this case, the goal is to achieve efficient illumination through the installation of multiple spots distributed across the ceilings. It is crucial to determine the specific positions of the spots based on the intended use of the room. These positions should be clearly defined and indicated in a practical format, which will facilitate the location and installation of the various spots.

Spot positions in Living/Dining Room
Definition
In the Living/Dining area, due to the large windows, artificial lighting is only required at night.
To determine the lighting positions, three specific areas need to be illuminated:
• The dining area
• The living area
• The hallway/balcony of the attic
It is recommended to maintain a soft light between the living and dining areas to create a natural separation between these spaces.
For the spots in the hallway/balcony of the attic, an additional light has been installed above the staircase, specifically in the area where one descends. This additional light enhances nighttime visibility and safety while using the stairs.
The positions are based on distances measured on the ceiling surface, which has an incline of 55% or 28.81 degrees.

Spot Positions in the Kitchen
Definition
In the kitchen, it is essential to ensure good lighting over the work surfaces as well as the central island. This can be achieved with an arrangement of multiple spots:

Spot positions in Pantry
Definition
The pantry consists of two areas: the reception/delivery area and the storage area. The former, which is smaller, is illuminated with a central spotlight. The latter, which includes a small hallway, is illuminated with two spotlights placed along the hallway:

Spot Positions in the Service Area
Definition
The service area is divided into two sections: the laundry room and the workshop. To ensure proper lighting, two central spotlights are used in each section to illuminate both the work area and the backup area at the rear:

Spot positions in Bathroom 2
Definition
In the bathroom, two spotlights are needed to adequately illuminate each end: one for the toilet and one for the shower. Additionally, both spotlights should provide sufficient lighting for the sink area as well:

Spot positions in the Studio
Definition
In this case, the goal is to create as even lighting as possible while maintaining an arrangement of spots that conveys a sense of order and symmetry, tailored to the non-rectangular shape of the space. To achieve this, a pattern has been established that replicates the shape of a hexagon with multiple slightly variable-sized triangles, aiming for optimal coverage:

Spot positions at the Entrance
Definition
In this case, a single spotlight is installed directly above the point where a person enters or exits. This spotlight illuminates the surrounding area, including the door, the wardrobe, and the hallway leading into the house:

Second bedroom
Definition
Since the bedroom is used during the day as well, and despite having a south-facing window that provides little light, artificial lighting is used to supplement it. The lighting is arranged as follows: it illuminates along the wall where the bed and possibly other furniture, such as a desk, will be located. Another line of light is positioned in front of the window, and the third line covers the closet doors. Both lines share a common spotlight:

First bedroom
Definition
The first bedroom includes the main bed, a small adjacent living area, and a closet area that also serves as a hallway to the bathroom and the second bedroom. Therefore, the spotlights are focused on the bed area, including the small living area, and a line of lighting is placed in front of the closets, extending into the hallway leading to the bathroom and the second bedroom:
