Colors
Storyboard
Every design must include the selection of colors. They characterize a style and, as in this case, define the desired appearance of the result. Particularly, the color "dark red or brick-type" with white outlines creates that "Swedish country house look".
To achieve the right colors, it's important to understand that there is both the concept of "color" as well as wavelength or frequency, and also the "brightness" it conveys. In this sense, color should be interpreted as a perception that goes beyond what a measurement can provide and ultimately includes the perception that humans literally "feel".
An example is the color magenta, which we perceive as humans, but which does not exist physically as such. Therefore, it's necessary to determine the desired color, for example in photos, and find the color that feels most similar among the available paint colors. This does not exclude the effects of the applied surface that cannot be fully controlled.
